Manila, Philippines, August 19, 2012 - Ballet Philippines (BP), one of the resident dance companies of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), has just released publicity shots, featuring pop stars Christian Bautista ("The Kitchen Musical," "West Side Story,") and Karylle Tatlonghari ("The Kitchen Musical," "West Side Story,"),  for its year-end revival of ballet musical "Rama Hari," which runs at the CCP main theater from Friday, November 30 until Sunday, December 9.

"Rama Hari" follows the adventures of Rama (Bautista), an Indian prince who moves heaven and earth to rescue his wife Sita (Tatlonghari), who was abducted by the evil king Ravana (Robert Seña).

"Rama Hari," which was originally performed by BP in the early '80s, starring Original Pilipino Music (OPM) luminaries Kuh Ledesma, Basil Valdez, and Leo Valdez, is a dance musical adaptation of the Indian epic "Ramayana," featuring choreography by BP founder Alice Reyes, libretto by National Artist for Literature Bienvenido Lumbera, music by Ryan Cayabyab, and set, costume designs by National Artist for Theater Design Salvador Bernal.
